I took a look at their website. Designed well. But, Their packages are expensive as hell. So you’re telling me that $240 a month is a better deal than just paying the electric company? I must be missing something. Because unless this package can be paid off in 5-10 years at $250 (which is unrealistic) there’s no way I would get this service.
Simply buying a gas generator will cost less money than this solar set up.
Someone living way out in the wildaboogie, with no running water and electricity would be better off buying something from Harbor Freight and doing a simple solar installation for a water pump or lights. I know…I know, “whose gonna do that”? But, this doesn’t sound like a solid financial plan for people living way out in the desert who have a very limited income. So, I’m just venting here. But, gawtdamn…
It is cheaper to buy solar panels from somewhere online and buy a Jackery or Ecoflow. you could finance all of that out and pay it off within 2 years – fully installed and have the same “reliability” as these vastly overpriced solar systems.
Let me know if I’m missing something here folks. And, why the fawk are these things only limited to only Navajo people living within the reservation system boundaries? The main people who would be able to afford these would be the people who are working off the rez.
